A local children’s nursery came to us to design a new classroom space. Their buildings had been extended over the years as they’ve expanded. Our proposal was to add a floor to the central building which could be accessed via an existing external staircase. It then created one large classroom with wc’s and a staff room at the front of the building. The classroom then had an access to the playground to the rear via a new staircase that integrated climbing frame and swings.
